Just Waiting

So in case anyone is wondering, we have not had our baby yet :(  Jason keeps reminding me he is a lot easier to take care of in my belly, but that doesn't help my anxiousness.  I want to meet this little guy and I want to get labor/childbirth over with, I'm scared!  My due date is in two days, I have my 40 week appointment tomorrow, hopefully I have made some progress, but I'm not sure.  I don't really know if I have had contractions.   Sometimes my stomach gets really tight and it is hard to breath, is that a contraction?  I really have no idea.  I would love to hear advice!  I think we are ready.  I went out today and picked up some last minute baby/mommy stuff (thanks again for the tips Lori) so now I just wait.  I will be sure to update the blog as soon as something happens.  And please pray for me, I'm scared about the whole birthing process!

I'M SO GIDDY AND EXCITED FOR YOU!!!

That is a contraction indeed, but probably not the type you need to worry about. The "oh, my tummy's tight and i can't breath" contractions are the ones I had every 5 minutes from week 34 and on. Some uteri just need to warm up longer than others I suppose.
It's the contractions that you can't talk through because they hurt so bad that you should definitely be paying attention to.
Anyway, give me a call if you have a chance, i'd love to talk with you. Best of luck if I don't talk with you before the big event! I'll be sending you happy labor vibes.

Good luck Ginny! I hope you don't have to wait too much longer and I hope that everything goes well. I'd love to hear any advice you have after everything is said and done.

I just decided to check in to see if there's any news, so thanks for posting! I can't believe you're due in 2 days! That's so crazy. I'll be really anxious to hear when you've had him. Good luck with everything!

Oh Ginny! I'm so excited for you - your prenancy has gone fast, at least to me. I swear I just saw you at Bajio's and you told me you were like 5 weeks prego!!!! And now it's almost here. Those for sure are contractions....that is great, it means progress. I was induced so I didn't feel one until I was in labor. You will do great. I think you just want them out of you so bad, that you can handle anything to get them here! :) We are thinking of you....can't wait to here more!!

Hey Ginny,
Good Luck in your labor, I had a c-section so no advice here. Although I can say that labor isn't all that bad but I can't tell you what delivery is like. My sister swears by these http://www.soothies.com/gelpads.html
Have fun meeting your new baby. There is nothing like it! You'll do great!

Gin-yes good luck indeed! I really have no doubt that you will do great. Seriously I did, that should make you feel good! Aside from the pain labor and delivery was the best part of pregnancy for me! I agree with Spring, soothies are important for breast feeding! I think you can get them at Motherhood, and probably other places. Just cut out the sizes that you need, dont use the whole thing at once! Good luck, we will for sure say some prayers on your behalf! This little guy needs to get here safe and sound! We cant wait!
