Here are some pictures from Christmas and our family vacation after Christmas. On Christmas Eve we have dinner at my family's house and spend the night there. We still wake up early at my house so it works out really nice because after Christmas morning and breakfast at my house we go up to Jason's house for Christmas morning there. Then we head over to my aunts house for the family Christmas, then back over to Jason's for Christmas dinner. It is a busy day and we are always sickly full from all the eating but we still love it. Instead of getting everyone in my extended family gifts, we have a small gift exchange and then take a family trip. This year we went to Santa Clara. This is in the middle of the Silicon Valley, this is where Great America is and all the technology companies headquarters. Jason loved it. He got to visit Intel, HP, and Apple. Now we are home and are heading to Palm Springs on Sunday for a little vacation with Jason's family. We are excited.
Christmas Eve at my house, the one family member many of you might not recognize is Nicky, she is practically family. She lived with us during some of high school and she is Chrissy and Alyssa's roommate now.

California
So we are in California for Christmas and New Years. We have only been here for a couple of days but it has been really fun so far. Thursday I shadowed a hygienist at the dental office I use to work at, it was really interesting for me. Thursday night we went with Jason's family to the Melting Pot. Friday we helped Jason's dad sort and bag mandrins to sell. That evening we went to a Christmas party at the Boatman's (friends of my family). Today my friends and I had lunch and did our gift exchange. Tonight we had dinner with Jason's family and watched the DaVinci Code. Jason has kept busy working on lots of projects at his house and working on all the cars of our families. We are really looking forward to Christmas and are loving the time we are able to spend with our families.

Let It Snow, Let It Snow, Let It Snow
This is what we woke up to this morning. I have a love/hate relationship with snow. I think it is beautiful and fun to play in once in a while, but I hate driving in it and I hate the freezing cold. I love snow when I can stay in my warm house and look at it, but I don't like it as much when I have to live in it. I guess I really am a California girl.

Christmas Party
On Sunday we had a Christmas Party with some of our friends. It was really fun. We had a big turkey dinner, then had a small gift exchange, then decorated gingerbread houses and played a game. It was a really fun night, we have such good friends.

Christmas Card Pictures
Sunday we drove up to Sundance to take our Christmas card picture (thanks to Dan and Ashley for taking them). We had a hard time deciding which one to use so I thought I would post the finalist, the last one listed is the one we went with. Hopefully everyone agrees with our choice, if not oh well it is just a Christmas card.
I love this picture of Jason, I just wish I was looking at the camera
This one has a really pretty background, but I don't like my legs in it
After much debate, and many opinions this is the one we went with

The Melting Pot
Every year for our friend Kelly's birthday we all save up our money and go out to the Melting Pot. For those who are unfamiliar, this is a really fun fondue restaurant in Salt Lake. It is a dining experience. Each time we have gone it has taken us three hours to eat. You get to choose a cheese fondue, a salad, a main course (which is a variety of meats and vegetables that you cook yourself at the table) and then a dessert fondue. It is so delicious, and a little pricey but I think it is an experience everyone should do at least once, if possible. We look forward to it every year.
