Letty

My little sister Letty was kind enough to drive back from California with me and stay the weekend with Jason and I. I loved having her here, we had tons of fun. Jason was with us most of the weekend unfortunatley he was the picture taker for all the pictures we took. Here are some of the fun things we did.
We played tennis, it was Letty's first time playing, she was pretty good!
Mmmmmm...Cold Stone.
Friday night we watched a movie and did facials and foot treatments. It was kind of a pampering weekend cause on Saturday we got massages (sorry, no pictures, they would have been very inappropriate).
My mom got us tickets for the General Young Women Broadcast, so Saturday night we went up to Salt Lake for that, it was very good.

So I know I am 24 years old, but when I am with Letty sometimes I act her age (16). After we got back from SL on Saturday, we "played" America's Next Top Model, here are our best shots:
Seriously if Letty was taller she could be on the show, she was scaring me with how good she was.
I think the only reason this was my best shot is because it is overexposed therefore you can't see my nose and other features very well.
Jumping on the bed, I think Jason thought we were completly crazy.
Letty was my patient at school on Monday, she got some shiny new sealants put on her teeth.
Fluoride is AWESOME!!
Letty with her goodie bag, when you come see me I don't send you home empty handed!!

California

For the past week I have been in California for my spring break, Jason only got to stay for the weekend since he doesn't get a spring break so he flew home on Monday. Jason and I started the drive on Thursday, spent the night in Winnemucca, then finished the drive Friday morning. Jason came out to visit his parents and to meet my Uncle Jack and Aunt Stephanie who were visiting from North Carolina with their two adorable children, Joey 4, and Joshua 1, he had never met them. It was a really nice trip and I actually got to see some people since I was there for more than the usual two days.
Kids love Jason! Alyssa and Joey sitting on his lap.
The whole gang at Old Town Pizza (my brother works there so we go eat there everytime I go home).
We went to an Auction and I just died when I saw Alyssa and Joey holding hands. (We thought they looked like a celebrity couple, Brangelina anyone?)
Seriously so cute!!
They were just so cute together, Letty's ok too!

I hitched a ride with my Uncle to San Fransisco and got to visit Dan and Ashley, it was so fun. Ashley was nice enough to take the day to show me some cool parts of the city I had never seen.
Ashley made a delicious dinner.
Me with a pretty flower in Golden Gate Park.
Ashley and I in the park.
A beautiful view of the Golden Gate Bridge.
Ashley and I on the Pier.
Me in front of the Full House houses.
The kids in the bath.
Chrissy and Alyssa.
Me and Alyssa with Letty and Joey.
Me and my Mom (see needs to work on her pouty look).
Chrissy, Megan, Stacie and I at Mimi's.
In the car (it took like 20 pictures to get this, we couldn't stop laughing for some reason).
Letty and I stopped at Beverly Hills on the way home.

Weekend Pics

Here are some pictures from our weekend. Our good friends Dan and Ashley Henry moved to San Francisco in January, but Ashley was in town this week "for business". We were lucky enough to have her stay with us Thursday night. On Friday we had to make a trip up to Salt Lake, so we had dinner at Christophers Seafood and Steakhouse. We had been there before but it was a long time ago, this time the food was mediocre so we probably won't go there again. Then we came home and watched "Titanic", Jason had NEVER seen it!!! Of course he loved it :) Saturday was our boyfriend-in-law Jeff's birthday so we got together with Jenny, Jeff, Michelle and James for dinner and birthday cake. One of Jeff's gifts was Biore Deep Cleansing Pore Strips which we made all the boys try, it was pretty interesting, see below. Then on Sunday night we had our friends Shelley and Jeff over to play Turbo Cranium. It was a nice weekend. Stay tuned for California pictures next weekend, we head out on Thursday, I can't wait!!!
Ashley and I, we forgot to take pictures so this was taken just before she left, and I look disgusting because I just got out of the shower.
Jeff, Jason and James sporting the newest fashion in pore strips.
Happy Birthday to Jeff!!
He barely got them all out, I won't tell you how many there were!
Apparently removing the strips was painful, hey guys no pain no gain!
We found it very funny. And yes there are 6 people in our tiny bathroom, that in itself was really funny.

Chocolate Delight

So I was watching Food Network last week and I saw Paula Deen make this dessert that I fantasized about until yesterday when I made it. WARNING: This dessert is very chocolaty so if you aren't a fan of chocolate (which I can't believe is possible), you might not want to try it. I love chocolate so it was delicious to me. Anyway, I thought I would share the love. P.S. An added bonus is that it looks pretty so it works well for when you have company.

Chocolate Delight
Courtesy of Paula Deen

1 (18 1/2 ounce) package devil's food chocolate cake mix
3 (3 1/2 ounce) packages instant chocolate pudding mix, regular or sugar free
2 cups whipping cream
2 tablespoons confectioners' sugar (powdered sugar)
Chocolate sauce or syrup, any variety, for garnish
1 cup chopped pecans, lightly toasted (walnuts would work fine as well)

Prepare the cake mix according to package directions and bake in a 9x13 inch pan. Let it cool thoughly, then cut the cake into cubes about the size of walnuts.

Prepare the chocolate pudding according to package directions.

In a medium bowl, whip the cream with the sugar until stiff.

To assemble: In a trifle bowl, layer half the chocolate cake cubes, pudding, whipped cream, chocolate sauce or syrup and nuts. Repeat, layering the remaining ingredients, ending with whipped cream and nuts. Drizzle decoratively with chocolate sauce or syrup.

Enjoy!!!

Don't Be Afraid

Ok people, don't be afraid when you see this post. Jason got a new handgun recently, so last night we went and shot guns, with Mike and Jenny Larsen. Jason has four guns now and is waiting for his concealed weapons permit to come in the mail, so I figure I need to get a little more comfortable with guns and how to use them. Mikes Dad owns a gun store/shooting range so we were able to shoot lots of different guns including a .44 magnum, Kimber 1911, Walther P22 (my favorite), a couple of .40's and 9mm's, and Jason's new Kel-Tec .380. It was pretty fun, I still get a little scared sometimes, but I am getting better. Mike, Jason's brother, was in town so after we were done shooting we went out to dinner with all Jason's siblings at Mimi's and then back to our place to play games. It was a fun night.
Jason is a pretty good shot.
I on the other hand am not so good.
All of us with our favorite guns.

Sharp shooter with my P22.
Jason and I in the store.
Jason likes AR-15's, but they make me think of bad people.
All of us at Mimi's (the one you may not recognize is my cousin Chelsea, she and Michelle are roomates).
Playing Apples to Apples (Jason had to get up early but wanted to be involved so he went to sleep while we played).
