Eventful Weekend

This weekend we had a few things going on. On Friday night was the iOscars which is a film event for amateur film makers, put on by the Mac Users Group at BYU. Jason's friend Andrew came up with the idea 4 years ago and they have been putting it on ever since (although Jason lacks all the enthusiasm that Andrew had for it and Andrew moved 2 years ago). So this was Jason's last year and it was bittersweet, I think mostly sweet as of now. It was a very good night though. Jason wasn't feeling well Friday but on Saturday morning he decided he was well enough to participate in the 'Elite' division of the Splash n' Dash at BYU. He swam 1 mile and ran a 10k (6.2 miles). I was his lap counter for the swimming portion and I was tired after 66 laps, I don't know how he does it. It was really good training for the triathlon he will be doing in June. Then Saturday afternoon I got to attend our friend Lori's baby shower. She looked great and I had a really fun time. Her baby should be coming anytime in the next couple weeks, I can't wait to see her! It was a good weekend but Jason is still sick and I now have a sore throat (which is how he started), I am really mad at him about it because I specifically told him I better not get sick. I'm going to bed now hoping a good night sleep will fight off any impending sickness.
Me at the iOscars, the reason I don't look pregnant is because these are from last year, I forgot my camera this year and they would have been basically the same
Jason and Quinn (the MC), they are both going to be working for Apple

He is ready now
Drying off after the swim, getting ready to run
Jason doesn't love this picture of himself and I can kind of see why, the word "Cheesy" comes to mind, but it was the only one I had of him crossing the finish line and I know I would have looked much worse after everything he did!
Me with my Biathlete, I look disgusting but in my defense it was early when we left, I basically rolled out of bed
Nicole, Lori and I, all pregnant!

It's Over

So my test is finally over. I won't know whether or not I passed for at least 6 weeks. It was HARD! I don't feel like I passed but apparently that is how everyone feels coming out of it. So if you don't see a big exciting post in 6-8 weeks, you can assume the worst. School is REALLY hard for me right now, I am so ready to be done.

On a brighter note, Jason and I just booked our tickets for our last pre-baby vacation. We will be heading to the Northeast (Boston, Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont) in April. I am really excited. Neither of us have been and we look forward to exploring a new part of the country. If anyone has any "must sees" please let us know.

So this is just a mid week post, we have the iOscars this weekend, if you live in Provo, you should go!!! It is tomorrow night at 7pm in JSB Auditorium. On Saturday Jason is participating in the Splash n' Dash (1 mile swim, 6.2 mile run), to help him train for his upcoming triathlon. Pictures to come.

Randomness

Here are some pictures from the last week or so. Last weekend Jason and I went and ate at the Foundry Grill at Sundance. We got a gift certificate from Jason's sister and her husband for Christmas. It was VERY delicious. We both really liked our food. Then on Thursday night we got together with our old neighbors Sean, Spring and Paige, and Jared, Malia, Kaia and Jason. I'm so glad we got to see the DeBurgh family while they were out here for spring break, we miss them and can't wait to live a little closer to them when we move to CA. Then last night we went to a surprise party for our friend Lee. It was so fun to see some people I grew up with, but hadn't seen in a while. So we had a busy week (for us). Only a few more day until my national boards, and I can not wait (to get it over with)!!!!!!! In fact, I should be studying, so that is all for now.

Another Reason Not To Gamble...

You might want to rethink that weekend trip to Vegas because with 50/50 odds 64% of you were....WRONG!! We are having a healthy, active little boy!!! We are so excited. And the ultrasound was pretty much the coolest thing I have ever seen. Our little guy was very active, he was kicking his legs, trying to put his thumb in his mouth and giving us a very good view of his...man parts. It was an amazing experience and made me so much more excited for him to come. I already think he is so cute!! Jason is excited for a budding young mind to unload his wealth of information about cars, computers, women, and other matters he deems important. I am excited for the rest of my kids to have a big brother to look up to. Anyway, that is our big news. Sorry the pictures didn't scan as well as one would have hoped. Oh and I added a 20 week belly shot, and Jason added a link on our website for "Baby", it has some video from the ultrasound if anyone is interested check it out here.
Look at that cute little profile!!

Sunny California

Three quick thoughts before I go into my trip to CA.

1. If you are going to vote on my poll you better hurry time is running out...which means my Drs appt is less than 48 hours away...I can't wait!!!

2. When it rains blog posts it pours blog posts. I have had nothing to blog about for almost two weeks and now I have my CA trip plus our big baby news on Wednesday. After that there will probably be another dry spell, I wish blogworthy things happened more consistently.

3. If you didn't know I was obsessed with my niece Alyssa, you will know it after this post.

So I flew to CA this weekend. I have been really homesick and stressed to the max with school and really thought a trip home would help me out a lot, which it totally did. Tomorrow is my niece Alyssa's 4th birthday but her party was over the weekend so I surprised her and my sister. It was so fun to go to her party, it is the kind of thing I always hate missing and for once I got to be there (another reason I can't wait to move to CA). So here are some pictures from my fun weekend. I always miss Jason so much, things just are so much more fun when he is with me. Oh and as a side note, I already hate pictures of myself. I don't think I am as huge as I look on camera and it is really depressing to see some of these pictures.

Alyssa LOVES ladybugs (I'm not sure the feeling is mutual) so here is a picture of her gathering ladybugs. I didn't want to post a full back shot but you can probably see that her little bum was totally hanging out, it was the funniest thing ever, my Mom and I were dying!!!

Seriously there is no way I can have kids as cute as Alyssa...it just isn't possible!
