My Cute Boys

I have lots of pictures of all the things we have been up to lately.  With my new camera I have tried to be better about taking pictures of my adorable children, so here we go!

A new Taco Bell opened near our house.  We had been getting frozen yogurt nearby and stopped to check out the grand opening.  Of course we had to take a picture with the giant fire sauce.

I know I am probably SO annoying because I always brag about the weather here, but seriously it has been around 70 degrees for the last week or so and I LOVE it.  It has been nice to be able to hang out outside.  Look at this little love muffin, I am so in love with him.

Ollie's friends Levi and Brody had a birthday party at this really cool place called "Pump It Up, Jr".  It was so fun.  I was more than happy to take Ollie down the slide over and over.

Family Trip 2010

Every year after Christmas my extended family takes a mini vacation somewhere close to home.  This time we were in Walnut Creek.  It is fun to hang out, swim, shop, go to dinner and play games in the hotel.  This year we were together for New Years Eve.  It was so fun to ring in the new year with family.

These pictures are actually from before Christmas.  A big park in our area does a huge lights display that you drive through.  It was so fun to do with Ollie.  We even let him out of his seat so he could see better.

Ok back to the family trip.  While we were together we "hiked" ( it was more like a brisk walk) Mt. Diablo.   It was FREEZING!!  We had a good time though.

Max finally got to wear the cute little bear outfit Jason's grandma sent us.  It is super warm and I was beginning to worry we wouldn't have weather that would require the warmth.

 Funny little story...our room at the hotel had a little kitchenette.  One of the days we were there Jason was out somewhere and I was with the boys.  Ollie had been playing with his Mack truck and I was giving Max a bath, trying to keep an eye on Ollie while doing so.  All of a sudden Ollie starts crying and saying "mommy, mommy".  I look over and he had put his Mack truck in the microwave and somehow turned it on and it was on FIRE!!  I quickly opened the door, blew out the flame, opened all the windows and tried to keep the smoke detector from going off.  It was crazy.  Ollie was pretty spooked, and our room smelled like burnt plastic the rest of the time.  Man this kid keeps us on our toes!!

Christmas 2010

I'm getting a little anxious to wrap up Christmas on the blog.  I didn't take many pictures at Christmas (hopefully that will change since I got a new camera).  Luckily my mom always pulls her camera out.  Following tradition we did Christmas Eve with my family.  We had dinner, Letty, Dad and I did a musical number, we read from the Bible and of course watched A Christmas Story.  We woke up early the next morning, had Christmas, packed all our stuff and headed to Jason's family for Christmas there.  Jason family is a little more mature than my family.  They don't all wake up and want to open presents right away.  We had a nice big breakfast, then hung out for a bit, then opened presents.  That afternoon we headed to my aunts house for my extended family's white elephant gift exchange.  It is always lots of fun.  Then it was back to the Millers for a delicious dinner of filet mignon, dungeons crab and lobster.  Jan went all out this year and needless to say it was delicious.  I can't believe I didn't take any pictures with Jason's family...I am so lame.  It was a wonderful Christmas, and having a child who is starting to understand made it so amazing.  We love our families, and it was great to see some friends while we were home too.

My niece Alyssa flew to CA from NC by herself (she is 6 years old).  It was so fun to see her and we were sad to see her go, especially Ollie.  She was so nice to him and I think he loved having a little buddy.

Jason wanted to start the tradition of reading Twas the Night Before Christmas, so we let Ollie open it on Christmas Eve and Jason read it to us.

 A few days after Christmas we took Ollie to the Sacramento Railroad Museum.  This kid loves trains.  It was fun for him to be able to walk inside them and what not.  He even sat through the boring video we watched.

Ollie on the railroad track.  I think he knows where every railroad track in our area is.  He is always telling us when we are going to pass over a track, before we even get there.  It's cute.

3rd Annual Christmas Eve Brunch

For the third year in a row Jason hosted a Christmas Eve brunch at his parents house.  It is a fun way to get all his friends who are home for the holidays together to catch up.  Last year we started inviting my friends as well.  It was fun to see those who made it and we missed those who couldn't be there this year.

Leading Up To Christmas

I have lots to catch up on here on the blog.  We have had an eventful holiday season.  It was nice to not travel too far and to do some fun things around our house.  Here are some of the things we did leading up to Christmas.

Jason found this cool gingerbread man kit.  It was fun to decorate it with Ollie.

Our neighbors have a HUGE beautiful tree that has  just been dumping leaves.    The kids have had so much fun.

It is a miracle, he actually looked at the camera!

December 11th we went and saw the Nutcracker put on by the San Jose Ballet Company.  Before the show we tried this Spanish restaurant we've been meaning to try in downtown San Jose.  It was pretty good.  Jason served his mission in Spain so we are excited to know of a real Spanish restaurant in the area.
