Camping

This last weekend we went camping with our friends Dan and Ashley. We hiked up Bells Canyon and found a perfect little campsite on a stream (I don't think you are really suppose to camp off this trail, but we are all pretty rebellious so we went for it). Although by the looks of our backpacks it seems we went camping for a week, we only spent one night up there. We had a great time. On Saturday morning we hiked up to a waterfall, which was beautiful. We had a great time and hope to be able to camp one more time before the weather turns cold!

Home Sweet Home

So we drove home to California last week to get one last visit in before we both start school. We had a great time visiting family and friends. We also got to go to the open house for the Sacramento Temple. It was beautiful. We really enjoy our visits to California, the weather is wonderful, the company is great, the only thing I hate is the 10 hour drive across Nevada to get there!!!!

Bear Lake!!

This weekend we went up to Bear Lake in Idaho where Jason's family rented a cabin. It was lots of fun. We went with Jason's mom, his sister Jenny and her boyfriend Jeff and his sister Michelle and her boyfriend James. We spent a lot of time on the lake which was very beautiful.

I LOVE TIM AND FAITH!!!!

Ok, I absolutely LOVE Tim McGraw and Faith Hill and this weekend I got to see them for the second time together. They are such good, down to earth, family people. And they are awesome in concert. We went on Friday night with our friends Sean and Spring and Jared and Malia. It was really great to spend the time with Sean and Spring since they are moving to Sacramento so Sean can start law school. We will miss them dearly!!! They are awesome. The pictures of Tim and Faith aren't the greatest but they were the best I could get from our seats. *Note to anyone who might see Tim and Faith in the future: BUY FLOOR SEATS!!! They are so interactive with the audience, it would have been awesome to be down there.

Last Weekend

Last weekend we had a luau with our ward. It was way fun. Then on Saturday we rented a tandem bike. It was SOOOO fun. We rode like 20 miles up and down the Provo River Trail. We had it for the weekend so our friends got to enjoy it as well.

Where Have I Been?

I found this cool thing where you can mark all the states you have been to on Jen's blog...so since I am new at the blogger thing, I copied her. This map shows all the places I have been. I have been lucky to have gone to so many states and a lot of this travel is because my Mom is from the east coast and my Dad is a history buff. If I included Jason we would be able to color in a few more states.

Our Weekend

This weekend my mother-in-law Jan was in town for a night so we went and saw "My Fair Lady" at a little outdoor theater in Orem. It was really good. Then on Saturday night Jason, my cousin Stephanie and I went miniature golfing. We didn't have to work on Monday so Jason and I are stayed in a cute little Bed and Breakfast in Salt Lake City on Sunday night. Sunday we walked around Temple Square and all around Salt Lake, then on Monday we went and visited the Golden Spike National Park (see below for details). It was a great weekend, really took my mind off the horrible statistics class I am taking right now!!

Despite my concentration...I lost the game:(

We love miniature golf!!

Jason and I at the Golden Spike National Park. This is where the two railroads (the Union Pacific and Central Pacific) met to complete the transcontinental railroad in 1869.

This is me with the people who reinacted the events.

On our way out of Promnotory Point we found this place that makes rocket boosters for NASA so of course Jason had to get a picture with one.

Jason with the Salt Lake City temple behind him.

Ok, so I love balconies, so when Jason was choosing the room at our bed and breakfast he picked the one with a private balcony. I was so excited. So last night we went out, it was a perfect evening, and just as I sat down a bee flew in my hair so I swatted at it and it stung me. It was really scary but I didn't let is ruin my time on my private balcony.

I also love flowers, so I made Jason take my picture with the pretty flowers at Temple Square.
