Monterey

This weekend we headed down to Monterey to hang out with our bestest of friends Jeff and Kelly, and their good friends Jason and Ashley.  It was so fun.  We went down on Friday night and ate at The Whole Enchilada, like we did last year, I guess it is tradition now.  On Saturday we went into Monterey and walked around Cannery Row.  Sunday we hung out around the house and cooked foil dinners on the beach.  During the evenings we played games, which is my favorite thing. It was so fun and relaxing.  I love getting together with good friends.   Thanks for inviting us Jeff and Kelly.  And we are lucky enough to have Kelly staying with us this week  it is so fun to have her around.  On Thursday we will head up north where Jeff and Elle are waiting for her and we have some Halloween parties to attend, it should be fun.  Pictures of Ollie in his costume to follow.  These first few pictures are random ones from the last week.

Undecided?

Ok my friend Lori found this video about Proposition 8 and I thought it was really good.  If you don't know what the big deal is about Prop 8 watch this video, it explains the issue really well.

Can't Get Enough

of this boy!  Here are a few random pictures from this last week.  This weekend Jason's mom came down to visit.  While she was here we went to Palo Alto and ate at the University Cafe.  It was very delicious and we always see so many places we want to try while we are there.  We love Palo Alto!  That night Jason and I had to prepare our talks for Sunday, so Jan watched Ollie so we could get those done.  As always it was fun to have Jan in town.  We just love visitors!

"Hello mother, let me guess you want to take ANOTHER picture of me"

Oliver is very concerned about his future

Asleep on his mat

"Hello ladies"
Doesn't he look like a little man?!??!  This was before church yesterday, he is growing up WAY too fast!

Family In Town/Pumpkin Patch

It is really hard for me to name my posts lately, cause all the pictures are just random ones I take of the baby...so sorry about that.  Anyway, my family decided to come down Saturday and hang out with us.  It is always fun to have visitors, I love it.  Then on Monday I went with my friend Jami and her friends to a pumpkin patch.  Ollie is a little young to really enjoy these sort of things, but it is fun to get out.  The rest of the pictures are random from the last couple of weeks.
Ok this is kind gross but Ollie did a huge spit up on me...but he felt really bad about it (see pic below)

Doesn't that just say "Sorry mom, I didn't mean to do that"

Poor guy sometimes has to use a pink pacifier

We went and hung out at the pool last week, here is Ollie lounging

Isn't this little outfit cute.  Pretty much everyday I set him up and take pictures of him in his outfits, I love dressing him!

Jason using his camping headlight to do stuff to his bike, such a funny boy

Jason, Dad and Mom cleaning up after dinner (oh and those are my homemade rolls)

We went on a walk Sunday night and I decided to take my bike for a spin, in case you forgot what it looks like, here is Letty modeling it, and Jason cleaning it

Ok so my Mom sent me this picture that I took of myself on her camera when she wasn't looking, well apparently Letty and I are both self absorbed (see pic below)

She also found this pic on her camera

A random pic of Jason and I

Grandma Stacy and sweet little baby, look at those chunky monkey legs, I have worked really hard to get some fat on that boy, so I'm pretty proud :)

How cute is he, I can hardly stand it!  I am loving that he can fit into some of his jeans

I love this pic, it says "Seriously Mom?"

Proposition 8

As we all know, this election season is a monumental one, and as you may or may not know, California is in the midst of a very controversial election season as well. In 2000 61% of Californians voted against allowing same sex marriages (Prop 22). In May of this year four Supreme Court Judges overruled what the majority of the state voted for and legalized same sex marriages in California. Proposition 8 will change the California constitution to define marriage as "between a man and a woman". Like many, I had my concerns regarding this issue, but as I have educated myself, I have come to realize the implications this law would have on so many aspects of our lives.  I would just encourage anyone living in CA (or if you have friends or family in CA), to register to vote, and educate yourself on this issue. I think that when you do you will join with me in voting "YES" on Proposition8.

Conference Weekend

This weekend we drove home to spend some time with our families.  As always we had a great time.  Ollie was in high demand, so he was a pretty content little guy.  Saturday we braved what we thought would be some light rain and headed to Apple Hill.  It ended up pouring on us, but we had fun anyway (I always have fun when apple pie is involved).  That evening we went to OTP, Jacks old stomping ground, and had dinner.  Then Grandma Jan watched Ollie so Jason and I could go on a date.  We went to this new place in Roseville called "Fountains", it has cool fountains that light up and spray in cadence to the outdoor music.  We also tried a new frozen yogurt place called "The Big Spoon", very delicious.  Sunday we watched conference at Jason's house, then headed to my Aunts to watch the afternoon session with my family.  It was so fun to see everyone, we can't wait to go back again for Halloween!

The other day Ollie and I ventured out to a grassy area at our apartment complex.  It was a perfect way to spend the afternoon, he napped and I read a book.

Ollie in his swing, how uncomfortable does that look?  I fixed his head right after I took this

Dad and Lys at Apple Hill, that umbrella hasn't been used in a while and that was probably its last use ever

She got her face painted, and got a pumpkin, she was a happy camper

Ollie has the cutest pouty face, I love/hate it

Happy boy with a double chin :)

Every time we are all together my Mom makes us take a family pic, one of these days we will do a real, professional one

I always hated when friends would have babies and then only post pictures of the baby...so here is one of us...life is good!
